Sleep Facts
Sleep restriction has become a serious problem in today’s hectic, 24/7 world. Studies show that in the United States, 30% of adults sleep less than 6 hours per night, and 65% of adults have sleep problems at least a few nights a week.
We know that insufficient sleep interferes with glucose regulation, appetite control, insulin resistance, cognitive performance and memory.
People who don’t get adequate sleep each night utilize healthcare resources more frequently and suffer from reduced quality of life, increased depression and anxiety, alcohol abuse, more auto accidents and more problems at work.
Unfortunately, most people are poor judges of their own sleep quality and their fatigue status, so unless they utilize technology such as Fatigue Science’s ReadiBand™, they often do not realize they need help.
